This morning I noticed an interesting post on the Five Doves Web site by a fellow named Lee Daily. He strongly believes the rapture will be in 2010. He boldly declares:
I will take a stand. Let me say unequivocally due to looking at these time frames regarding the Jubilees, Daniel 9:27, the various counts, etc., the way all these historical, recent, and current events fit, even overlap perfectly, and align with the obvious Jubilees, from a statistical probability point of view, the only way for this not to be the time is if the Lord/Father has suddenly changed the schedule. He doesn't change.

It is very odd that just seconds before reading that post, I was meditating on the greatly discussed number 234. What's that got to do with anything? Hear me.
Not bragging, but back in about 1994 I was the first to discover, investigate and report the angel encounter where that number 234 was first revealed by an angel. For circumstances and details, see Encounter # 3 in my article at http://www.choicesforliving.com/spirit/part3/angels.htm.
There have been many theories about what 234 might mean, if anything, but I do not believe it was arbitrary. God is never arbitrary. But I have never been sure of any of the theories.
However, this post was eery in its timing. Just last night, I remembered that in 2010 there has been exactly 234 years since the birth of America in 1776.
I am not of the false Anglo-Israelite persuasion, but in many comparative ways, America is a modern Israel, such as (1) being established by a covenant with God (The Mayflower Compact/Covenant in 1620), (2) being a gospel light to the nations as the greatest missionary sending nation in history, and (3) now, like Israel, falling away from God. It would not surprise me that God would consider America's history as that significant in His plan and with the angel's number 234 give us a hint that 2010 is the year the scroll of America's history would be rolled up, as His people are taken up.
Let us hope. I do know that respected Bible scholars and students believe we are extremely close to the rapture, from Bible interpretation, current events, and personal revelations.
By the way, the Mayflower Compact/Covenant in AD 1620 is 390 years from 2010. The number 390 is a prophetic number in the Bible.
